Ministry of Communication will not deactivate SIM Cards again if they see E-Levy data – IMANI Prez

The president of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe, has said that the Ministry of Communication will change their minds if they see the data on E-Levy.

According to him, if the Ministry of Communication after seeing the data on E-Levy, still goes ahead to deactivate unregistered SIM Cards, then that will be what he calls legendary in incoherent policy making.

In a Twitter post, Franklin asks “Has the Ministry of Communications seen the data on E-levy? Will they go ahead to deactivate unre-registered SIM Cards? That would be legendary in incoherent policy making.”

It may be recalled that the Ministry of Communication for a while now has asked every Ghanaian to register their SIM cards using the Ghana Cards.

However, the deadline was extended to end of July when the Ministry realized that most people weren’t able to do it.

The Ministry has now given its final deadline which is 31st of July. According to them, any SIM card that is not registered will be deactivated.

Meanwhile, the president of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe says they will change their minds if they see the data on E-Levy.
