Ghana FA Cup Lord’s Accra Hearts of Oak will announce the signing of three new players to their rooster for next season in the coming days.
The Phobians are on the market looking to improve their squad for the coming campaign and, they have made some headway in this direction.
Three players, one a foreigner, have successfully completed their medicals at the club and baring any last minute hitches, would be confirmed for the coming campaign.
Bechem United’s defensive midfielder, Francis Twene and free agent goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi as well as Cameroonian striker Junior Kaaba, all undertook their medicals this week and, are set to be confirmed as players of the club after putting pen-to-paper.
Twene, was one of the standout performers on the local scene last season and, he will be an important addition to the camp of the Phobians as they plan for next season.
In the goalkeeping department, Ofori Antwi will help calm nerves with the former Ghana youth international coming in with some vast experience playing on the local scene.
Cameroonian striker Junior Kaaba, brings in pace and power upfront, and with Hearts of Oak suffering for goals last season, his goals will be needed to help push their agenda.
Hearts of Oak began their pre-season campaign on Tuesday in Accra and, they will continue with the session up until the season starts.
As part of their pre-season program, Hearts of Oak will take on city rivals Great Olympics in the Ga Manste Cup on August 4 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
They will contest for the Ghana Super Cup against their bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in Kumasi on Sunday, September 4 before the 2022/23 football season starts the preceding weekend.
