Asante Kotoko Go Into 2022/23 Season With Steven Mukwala, George Mfegue And Frank Etouga

Asante Kotoko appear to be ready to defend their Ghana Premier League title won last seasons, following the signing of top striker Steven Mukwala. The latest signing comes as good news to a club that is preparing for this year’s CAF Champions League.

Before the commencement of last season, news went rife about a possible deal between Asante Kotoko and Steven Mukwala but the deal fell through, that did not sway the two parties as they have firmed up an agreement.

The signing of Steven Mukwala means the club will be playing with one of the sharp attack in the Ghana Premier League and CAF inter club competitions.

Asante Kotoko – in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League – may be playing with Steven Mukwala and George Mfegue as men upfront. With Frank Etouga moving out of the team, Asante Kotoko are in hunt for another quality player that will make it a like for like replacement in the team.

Asante Kotoko have announced traveling arrangements as they will be leaving Ghana for Turkey for preseason activities. Same foreign travel took place last season in Dubai and they won the league to justify that decision.

Plans are in place to either maintain head coach Prosper Ogum or replace him.
