The Assin Foso magistrate court presided over by His lorship Abdul Magid Iliasu in sitting with Social walfare have jailed a 17 Year old boy Kofi Sammy for 36 months with hard labour for assaulting and defiling a 12 year old girl at Tsitsiwura.
The incident happened on the 10th June 2022 when Kofi Sammy forced and had sex with his 12 year old sister until she lost consciousness after which he threw her from the window and cover her with plantain leaves.
Report indicated that, the victim gain consciousness after a heavy rain pour and reported the said kofi Sammy to the police station.
The Victim who is yet to be known spoke to the media on the incidence. The case was then reported to Assin Foso Magistrate Court and finally On 21st July 2022 , Thursday Kofi Sammy have been jailed to 36 months imprisonment with hard labour.
Speaking to the Social walfare Director for Assin Foso, Mr. Eric Angus Amoah, he said, the accident is very unfortunate and disheartening.
He said that, Kofi Sammy was able to exhibit this deviant behaviour because of lack of Parental control and care.
