“Certain happenings at the apex court, have dampened our faith in the court” – NDC Gen Secretary

The general secretary of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), Mr. Johnson Aseidu Nketia has expressed the party’s displeasure over certain developments in the country’s apex court.

According to Aseidu Nketia in a press conference this afternoon, the unpleasant developments in the courts especially the apex court of the land has dampened the faith of the National Democratic Congress in justice delivery.

He noted that the party is quite aware of the essential role played by the judiciary in the nation’s development and therefore having to address these concerns publicly signifies how worying the issues are to them. Mr Aseidu Nketia lamented over unfair treatment of members of the National Democratic Congress and selective justice under the Nana Akufo-Addo administration.

He stated that “In recent times, certain happenings at the apex court, in particular, have dampened our faith in the court and it was this loss of faith that had provoked our petition to the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth of Nations regarding various acts of human rights violations, criminal persecutions and harassment of the members and supporters the NDC by the Government of Ghana headed by His Excellency, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo,” he said.
