Suame MP chased out of constituency by angry artisans.

The majority leader of and member of parliament for Suame constituency has been chased out by his constituents. The artisans at the Suame magazine have been complaining about the bad roads in the constituency for a long time now. According to reports, the majority leader was in the constituency to inspect some road projects but was pelted with sachet water and stuff. He had to be swiftly whisked away by his security detail to avoid anything untoward from happening.

The artisans blocked a section of the road last week because of an accident that claimed the life of a taxi driver and was demanding that the roads be fixed. The angry mob, who were chanting war songs hooted, and pelted their MP with sachet water. He however admitted that they have every right to do what they did. He also promised them that work will begin on the road in 3 days.

I was shocked. So it means they could have fixed the road but we’re dragging their feet. Had the artisans not demonstrated, the situation wouldn’t have changed. No wonder people always say that the only language government understands is either strike action or a demonstration. This is very bad. Let’s change our ways.
