Nana Addo To Make First Major Shake Up Of Ministers (Check Details Here)

President Akufo Addo has been accused of allowing incompetent appointees to continue to stay in office. Since he took over in 2017, he has not made any major reshuffle in his administration. The few people who left his government left out of grievances. These include Boakye Agyako, Otiko Gyaba, Kwame A Plus among others.

From what CitizenOne has gathered, the President will in the coming weeks make his first major shake up in his administration. Some ministers will be moved into other ministries while a good number will be shown the exit.

This was disclosed by Mr. Mahmud Kabore, a national communications member for the opposition NDC. He revealed this on FOCUS, a social media program on Sekyere Afram Plains Youth Forum. He said his information was coming from a credible source close to the presidency.

Explaining further, Mr. Kabore said the shake up will be as a result of new leadership stirring the affairs of the NPP. He added that there are a number of ministers whose actions and inactions are negatively effecting the fortunes of the party. Unfortunately, the John Boadu lead NPP did not complain. He said Justin Kodua Frimpong and Stephen Ntim lead NPP leadership is determined to ensure that president Akufo Addo does the right thing to ensure NPP wins next election.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with CitizenOne, Kabore said ministers who are likely to be affected include the finance minister Hon. Ken Ofori Atta, minister for transport Hon. Amoako Ata and minister Hon. Sarah Adwoa Sarfo. Others are labour minister, sanitation minister, trades minister and agric minister. The rest are Ashanti Regional minister and Western regional minister.

However there are some ministers which will likely not be touched. These are education, energy, railways, lands and natural resources, information, digitalisation and 14 regional ministers.

Shortly after this projection by Kabore, Gabby Otchere Darko has hinted that a ministerial reshuffle is likely in the coming days.

Chairman Stephen Ntim became the 8th national chairman of NPP after 5 unsuccessful attempts. He is 68 years old and comes from Bono region. On the other hand Justin Kodua Frimpong is a native of Nsuta in the Ashanti region and CEO of Youth Employment Agency. His election brought the political career of John Boadu to an end last Saturday. He pulled 2800 votes as against some 2500 by the incumbent.
