Lisandro Martinez in England to finalize his move to Manchester United

Lisandro Martinez, a defender for Ajax, is in England to complete his transfer to Manchester United.

With the addition of Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia and the confirmation of Christian Eriksen’s arrival on Friday, Erik ten Hag’s renovation is starting to gain momentum.

The day Martinez travelled to Manchester with his agent to finalize his move, the Danish international inked a three-year contract at Old Trafford.

The Argentine international, who is reportedly expected to transfer from Ajax to United for somewhere around 55 million dollars (£46.75 million), has drawn attention from Arsenal.

Martinez will now go through a medical in Manchester and finish the necessary visa procedures. Martinez is reportedly about to sign a five-year contract.

The PA news agency is aware that it might take a few days for the agreement to be confirmed, and that the defender won’t be traveling to Australia for the team’s final two preseason friendly.

Following up on their 4-0 victory over Liverpool on Tuesday in Bangkok, United defeated Melbourne Victory 4-1 on Friday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Ten Hag’s team will play Crystal Palace at the MCG on Tuesday before traveling to Perth the following Saturday to take on Aston Villa.
