The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Chairman Wontumi made some really interesting revelations about Akufo-Addo going to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as compared to John Mahama going to the IMF in 2015. Chairman Wontumi gave an interesting analogy to explain the whole situation. The link to the video is below.
Chairman Wontumi revealed that Akufo-Addo going to the IMF is and will be better than when John Mahama went to the IMF in 2015. Wontumi’s analogy was that a man called ‘A’ can marry a woman and the woman will be bad to man A but that same woman can go and find another man called man B. With man B, the woman will be very good with him. He mentioned that it will be the case with Akufo-Addo’s IMF because the IMF has already said they won’t touch flagship programs like free SHS.
He continued to reveal that, with Mahama’s IMF, the country was told not to employ public sector workers, and the government couldn’t do free SHS or teacher trainee and nursing trainee allowance. However, with the Akufo-Addo IMF, all of those things will not happen and so the Akufo-Addo IMF is far better than the John Mahama IMF. After Chairman Wontumi’s analogy and comments, the host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom Octhere said “ I feel like clapping for you right now. This is pure street wisdom.”
