Kwadwo Darko from Kronum was staying with his wife and children. Years later his wife fell sick and was admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, she died within a few days at the hospital. The man said they made all preparations and performed his late wife’s funeral. Later he found out that his late wife bought a land and used their 3 years old son’s name in creating the land documents.
He travelled to the Volta region after the funeral but when he came back he was informed that their chief has sold part of the land his late wife left for their child. Darko went back to the land and found some workers busily working on it. He told them to stop working and also invoked a curse on the one who sold their land. Days later he was summoned to the chief’s palace and the chief told him to reverse the curse and take back the land.
A few months later the chief requested the land documents before he will hand over the land to him. He was not able to find those documents so he went to inform the chief about it, the chief then requested money to do another land documents for them which will includes his son’s name. They waited for long time but he didn’t get the documents from the chief.
Fortunately, he got the original copy of the documents from his brother-in-law. Darko said he got the person who bought part of the land arrested. They were able settle the issue and was given full ownership of the land. About a month ago, he found a trip of sand on the land, he was a bit confused about it because he thought they have settled everything.
He later found out that the sand belongs to the same person who bought part of their land few years ago. He then informed the chief about what is happening, the chief organized a meeting but he again told them that he wants peace so he has decided to give part of the land to the man who bought it years ago.
