Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, popularly known as Dampare, is a Ghanaian police officer. He is the current Inspector General of Police of the Ghana Police Service. Dr. George Akuffo Dampare is also a chartered accountant. He was appointed as the acting Inspector General of Police of the Ghana Police Service by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on 21 July 2021 effective August 1 2021. He is known to be the youngest Acting Inspector General of Police to be appointed in 4th Republic. He is the 23rd Inspector General of Police to be appointed in Ghana.
