Adorye: Lands Commission Proved Sir John Not Guilty Before Court Verdict

Convener of Fixing the Country and Leading Member of the NPP, Hopeson Adorye has stated that the Lands Commission proved Sir John not guilty when the Commission brought documents of the Achimota forest which indicated that he had no possession plots of land at the said location.

He made the statement in relation to the court’s verdict on the issue presented to the Accra High Court by the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng for an order to freeze Sir John’s assets while investigating the substantive issue. The court on Tuesday 12 July, 2022, ruled against the Special Prosecutor, failing to be granted the Court Order to carry out the said action against the former Lands Commission CEO.

According to Hopeson Adorye, many people government officials have encroached and live at Ramseyer Site as well as the Achimota forest which must be looked at and tackled but not singling out Sir John’s case.
