Outspoken and fearless Professor in the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo, has boldly told Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo that all what he said at the Eid-Ul-Adha celebration about the salary cut was all propaganda talk. Professor Gyampo explained that until he sees the payslip of the President and his appointees, he will remain resolute on his description of Nana Addo’s claim as propaganda.
“We live in a country where statistical computations can be protested. And so when some people talk about percentages, it becomes a bit debatable… What shows that we are been told the truth. What is the proof that you have reduced your salaries by 30 percent? For me, unless I see the payslips, I will not believe it”, Professor Gyampo added.
This statement by Professor Gyampo has gathered massive supports. For unknown reasons, the salaries that the Presidents and other Article 71 office holders have been receiving has been kept secret.
Thus, until the President releases his pay slip as evidence, Ghanaians will still hold the view that there has not been any pay cut.
