Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, Tunisia and Morocco will represent Africa in the 2022 FIFA world cup in Qatar. Africa has high hopes of making history this time around at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Many football experts have tip Senegal to be the first African country to reach the semis of the world cup.
Senegal goes into the tournament as an African champion. They have a good team that can compete with any other team in the world. They are in group A with the host nation Qatar, Ecuador and Netherlands. Senegal reach the quarters of the tournament in 2002. The Teranga Lions are expected to better that record in Qatar 22.
Morocco is another country that we expect to go far in the tournament. The Atlas Lions are in Group F with European powerhouse Belgium and Croatia with Canada completing the group. Morroco had a disappointing African cup campaign in Cameroon but we expect them to do well in the world cup in Qatar.
Cameroon has seen their football move to higher heights after the appointment of former striker Samuel Eto’o as the new FA President. Cameroon has reached the world cup finals more than any other African team. They were the first African team to reach the quarter-finals in 1990. After beating Algeria to qualify for the world cup in Qatar, the Indomitable Lions have been tipped as one of the countries to go far in the tournament. They are in Group G with five-time champions Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland. Cameroon has two of the best strikers in Africa at the moment. Toko Ekambi and Vincent Aboubakar are expected to light the world cup in Qatar.
Tunisia has never qualified for the second round in the world. The Carthage Eagles will be happy to make history for themselves in Qatar but they find themselves in a tough group with defending champions France, Denmark and Australia. It is quite difficult to see Tunisia qualify from this group but anything is possible at the world cup.
Ghana black stars are back into the tournament after missing the last edition in Russia. The team have failed to perform to their standard in recent tournaments. The consistent change in coaches and call-ups has affected our performance recently. There have been hopes for the team recently after some players switch allegiance to represent the country in international football. Ghana is in a tough group with Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea. It might seem difficult for Ghana to qualify from this group but the black stars are capable of beating all odds to make it to the latter stages of the competition.
