Afrifa-Mensah Challenges MP on Car Loans

The host of a television program titled “Abranaa so” on TV XYZ, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah made pressure befall on the Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi Central Constituency in the Western Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah.

Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah was the one who found trouble for himself by telling Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah that the Ghanaians think the members of Parliament are being offered free fuels and vehicles but that is not the case.

Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah revealed that the members of Parliament buy fuels with their pocket money and are not offered vehicles freely.

This drew Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah’s attention to Peter’s words and he asked him that does members of Parliament take car loans?

Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah became quiet for some time and started beating around the bush without disclosing the exact fact but Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah went ahead to question him.

When Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah saw that the pressure was too much for him to endure, he answered Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah by telling him that the members of parliament take car loans from the government and pay the exact cost of the vehicle to them but just the interest on the loan is little.

Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah began to challenge Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah by telling him that it is false because according to what he knows, the government pays forty percent of the car loan whiles the members of parliament pay sixty percent of it.

Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah failed to agree with Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah and both of them began to challenge themselves during the program.
