Checkout Alan’s ‘Brilliant’ Reply When Asked If NDC’s Mahama Can Fix Economic Hardship In Ghana

The renowned politician and NPP Presidential Aspirant have recently taken it upon himself to finally break the silence over the Akufo Addo government’s final decision to go to the IMF for obvious reasons aside from answering some tough questions on the way forward.

Speaking in a recent interview on the “Good Evening Ghana” show on Metro Television, Alan Kyeremateng indirectly revealed why the flag bearer of the NDC, John Mahama can not fix the current economic crisis in the country considering how the former President run to the IMF during his tenure even though the economy was as bad as recent times amongst others.

“The data shows clearly that, the post-covid economy registered a growth rate of 5.4% higher than 2016 which was 3.4%. We inherited an economy that was under the IMF program. Within 18 months, we were able to grow the economy from 3.4% to 8.1%. The conditions that had taken us to the IMF are entirely different from the conditions that took the NDC to the IMF. Theirs was a situation of systemic decline in the economy which was why they required an extended facility to be able to support the recovery of the economy. The growth was about 3.4% with a very high GDP; inflation was around 15.4% and with the worsening trajectory within which they found themself, the only option was to go to the IMF. We made Ghana the most attractive investment destination in West Africa”, Alan Kyeremateng emphatically revealed.
