The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako is better known as Chairman Wontumi has had a double dose of his own medicine for describing the former President John Dramani Mahama, Mr. E. A Mahama as a corrupt thief who squandered Ghana’s money on alcohol.
According to the deputy director of communications in the Ashanti region, Chairman Wontumi in his usual attacks on John Dramani Mahama mounted a platform and described the flag bearer of the NDC as a womanizer who wasted all of Ghana’s resources.
Responding to the issues on a popular-based Kumasi radio station, Alex Kweku Asafo posited that the current President has lovers, in the same way, they also cherish their leader and wouldn’t tolerate any unsavory comments from anyone.
In addition, the angry communicator asserted that Wontumi exhibits traits that are unworthy of emulation and engages in baseless accusations, and fallacious statements, and is a loose talker who goes about ranting without making any ‘sense.’
Asafo Adjei who elicited an appropriate response vowed that they will match the NPPs chairman boot for boot and his infantile and rough way of doing politics will be curtailed. “Look at the intellectuals in the NPP fraternity who are wise and engages in a genuine discussion and you vote for such a person as a regional chairman. He doesn’t even deserve to be responded to and he is a disgrace to your party,” he disclosed.
In his concluding words, he indicated that if the chairman wants to engage in ‘gutter’ politics to destroy the image of their leader and fabricate lies then he should be on alert. He, however, gave him an ultimatum to apologize or face their wrath.
