Fast-rising young musician, Lasmid Owusu Nathaniel, affectionately known by his stage name, Lasmid has shared the strategy adopted for his hit song “Friday night”.
One of the songs making waves in and around Ghana is Lasmid’s Friday Night. The song has been added to the top 100 songs most-streamed these past few days.

Lasmid is the season 8 winner of the MTN hitmaker and has released many songs. But his song ‘Friday Night’ is the hit so far. The young artist has revealed the strategy he used to make his song a hit.
According to him, his manager visited Kumawood actor Lilwin to help give his feedback on the songs. Lilwin was also credited as an instrumental figure behind the hit song.
“My manager told Kojo Nkansah Lilwin that we have more songs and want your honest feedback on them,” Lasmid said.

“My Manager told Lilwin to give us good remarks about the song or bad comments on them. After listening to the songs, he chose the ‘Friday Night’ song as his favorite and suggested that we video the listening session with him. So I performed the song whilst we were sitting down listening to the song and his reaction to the song made it go viral. Before the release of the song, people were already anticipating it” Lasmid shared his hit strategy.
