Gideon Asuako, the guy who stole artificial pitch has been jailed for 7 years.

Artificial pitch, normally referred to as AstroTurf has become very common in Ghana. According the the minister of youth and sports, over 90 of such pitches have been constructed by the government. A guy who stole portions of artificial pitch at Dobro Faaman has been jailed for seven years.

According to Saddick Adams who has been following the case so much, “A 21-year old man, Gideon Asuako, who stole parts of the artificial pitch at Drobo Faaman to use as carpet in his room, has been jailed 7 years. A prison officer friend at Sunyani confirms to me he has just been brought there to begin his sentence term”.
