The raining season is still with us but has been calm on us for some days now. This season has brought about the writing of new history in the books of the nation as it has caused great havoc to towns across the country. This includes heavy and recurrent flooding associated with mass destruction of properties and lives as well.
As a result of this, the Ghana Meteorological Agency has taken unto itself to brief the general public on their forecast generated on daily basis to create awareness among citizens. This has helped citizens so far as it helps them plan their activities for the day.
Reporting from the official twitter page of the agency is a document shred which includes the predictions of the weather across the country with reference to notable hotspot towns. As shared by the agency, Aflao and Accra was predicted to experience slight rains for which has happened and has flooded many towns in the region. It has affected the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Alajo, Dzorwulu, GIMPA and others leaving residents and road users stranded as some were forced to park the cars.
According to the forecast, later in the day (afternoon), parts of Accra will still experience rains as well as as Aflao, Kasoa, Cape Coast, Takoradi, Axim, Ho, Kumasi, Koforidua and others for which a summary of the changing weather conditions is provided below.
Residents and road users in Accra and its environs are really stranded as pictures and scenes of the floods keeps surfacing on the internet.
