COKA Rallies Support For NPP

THERE WAS drama when Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, aka COKA, and his supporters stormed the Upper Room Assemblies of God Church at Patase for a thanksgiving service on Sunday.

The NPP man, who lost the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship race recently, virtually turned the church auditorium into a political rally ground as he campaigned vigorously for the NPP to retain political power in 2024.

COKA, who was followed to church by a sizable number of party supporters, was called to the pulpit to deliver his message but he used the time allocated to him to try and woo support for his beloved NPP.

According to COKA, the NPP is the suitable political party with the right human resource to properly manage the affairs of the country in order to help accelerate national development and create wealth.

In this regard, COKA, a former NPP chairman for Affigya Kwabre South Constituency, passionately appealed to the congregation and Ghanaians in general, to work and retain the party in power in 2024.

“It is in the interest of the country for the NPP to be retained in political office beyond eight years so that the gains that we have chalked under President Akufo-Addo would not go waste,” he stressed.

COKA also charged Christians and the church in general to support the country with fervent prayers so that the difficult economic situation confronting Ghana and the rest of the world, would abate.

“The church in Ghana should start praying for the country in order to help us to overcome the challenges facing us, which is a worldwide problem,” he said, stressing that the church too has a key role to play.

COKA said in the olden days, the Israelites always turned to God in fervent prayers whenever they were in difficult and depressing times for a breakthrough “so our church should also support us with prayers.”

Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, NPP Members of Parliament (MPs), NPP Constituency Chairmen, party members and sympathisers were also at the church to support COKA.

After the thanksgiving service, COKA also organised a party for his supporters and campaign team.
