A lot of Ghanaian youths are turning into thieves and armed robbers because of the current economic hardship in the country. However, stealing is never the option to the economic hardship in this country. The young man in your picture has been caught red-handed stealing someone’s side mirror and the people didn’t spare him at all.
Watching the screenshots from the video in this article, you can see that the young man has been beaten to the extent that he is having some marks on his back. According to the residents, some people have been stealing side mirrors in that particular area, and thank God that they have been able to catch one person.
The Ghana Police Service was called to come and arrest this young man after he was beaten. The police upon arrival put handcuffs on his hands but expressed their displeasure at the manner they beat the residents best the thief. One policeman was overheard in the video advising the people, “If you catch a thief don’t beat him or her. Just bring the person for the law to deal with him or her”.
