Ghana Premier league transfer news

The GPL league ended a couple of weeks ago with Kumasi Ashanti Kotoko winning the title. Teams are looking forward to either beef up their squads or sell players to generate income.

Yaw Annor is reportedly on the verge of signing for Egyptian club Ismaily. The player finished the GPL league as top scorer just in front of Etouga Mbella. It was reported that Ashgold had declared the player not transferable to any local club.

Three Kotoko players are reportedly in Turkey for trials. Mudashiru, deputy captain Moro Ibrahim and one other unnamed player are to undergo trials in Turkey for a possible transfer deal.

Kotoko’s goalkeeper, Kwame Baah has reportedly declined to extend his contract at the club. The shot stopper’s contract will end today and he will therefore become a free agent.

King Faisal has released a list of six players whom they indicated are no longer part of the club. Richard Akrofi, Frank Boateng, Wadudu among others have been released by the Insha’allah boys. It is reported that some of the players have responded by stating that, their contracts have expired and they have decided to leave the club.

Bechem United goalkeeper, Iddrisu has attracted interest from league winners Kotoko. Yet his employers have offered him a new three year contract. Kotoko is looking to augment their squad for their African campaign.
