The renowned Ghanaian politician and member of parliament on the ticket of the ruling NPP have finally come out to set the records straight over Ghana’s return to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) considering the current economic crisis in the country.
Even though the NPP’s Gabby Otchere Darko has boldly come out to highlight that, the government’s initiative to implement the controversial E-levy in other to generate over Ghc 600 million in revenue seemed to have not gone as planned hence might require the intervention of the IMF, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has done out to claim otherwise.
“This is not the first time somebody has suggested we should go to the IMF for support to deal with the physical challenges that we have. Now and then, we hear somebody make such a recommendation. But the person responsible for fiscal policy in this country has been quite clear that he believes that there are clear domestic measures that can answer the same question for us”, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah emphatically revealed.
