A group which have been identified as Arise Ghana serves notice to Ghanaians about their pending demonstration on 28th June 2022. It was said that, the demonstration is going to be a mega one and hence, Ghanaians should come out in their numbers to protest against bad governance in Government.
In the hours of today 26th June 2022, the Ghana Police service released a notice on their official facebook account to suspend the decision of Arise Ghana demonstrators to embark on their intended actions. According to the police service, the organizers of the protest decide to stage their demonstration from 3pm to 10pm for two consecutive days. But as a result security reasons, the police dialogue with the leaders of the activist to reconsider their time in other to ensure proper supervision.
But all effort from the Police failed. The police has now refered the case to court as they suspend the 28th June 2022 demonstration. Due to the notice from the police, Oliver Barker boldly reacted to the release as below.
