In an interview with the award-winning blogger, Zionfelix on the Uncut Show, Lydia Forson explained that the Akufo Addo-led government is more focused on accomplishing its own interest rather than the interest of the citizens.

Lydia Forson said that the ruling government might believe they are listening to the pleas of their citizens, but they lack the capabilities to read the room and move in the direction of the sentiments expressed by the concerned citizens.

She stated that politicians need to understand that they are in power to render their services to the entire country and the citizens and not themselves, hence they need to listen to the sentiments of the citizens.

She lamented that the government needs to listen to the citizens or explain the reasons behind their actions in order to convince them rather than take matters into their own hands without including the opinions of the citizens.

In other news, Ghanaian gospel musician, Joe Mettle has explained why he mostly shuts his eyes during his gospel ministrations at events.

According to the one-time Artiste of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Awards, he mostly shuts his eyes while performing because he wants to focus on the ministration and what God is doing rather than be distracted.

Speaking in an interview with the ace broadcaster, Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwodwo segment, Joe Mettle intimated that he wouldn’t want to lose concentration on his ministration regardless of what happens.

“There are times I think I want 100% concentration on what God is doing so sometimes I close my eyes just so nothing happens so irrespective of what happens, I’m still flowing”, he said.
