The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Akrofuom District Assembly, Maurice Jonas Woode, has responded Michael Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo over allegations.
Hon. Maurice Jonas Woode in a press release on Tuesday, 21st June, 2022 clears air on alleged involvement in the termination of Teacher Kwadwo’s GES appointment.
According to the DCE, the claims by Teacher Kwadwo are false.
He explained that the District Director of Education had already state that the termination of Teacher Kwadwo’s appointment came about as a result of professional misconduct and not what Teacher Kwadwo has alleged in a video which went viral over the weekend.
“It therefore came to me as a shock when I read from Social Media that, five (5) prominent persons in the district, myself, masterminded his dismissal from the Ghana Education Service; as a result of a purported video published about Kofi Gyame Basic School in our district,” he said.
Hon. Maurice Jonas Woode in response to Teacher Kwadwo’s documentary on Gyame Basic School locked classrooms stated that the allegations are baseless.
He added that the termination of Michael Owusu Afriyie’s appointment has got nothing to do with his videos of ‘Fix GES’ campaign but rather professional misconduct.
