Journalists in Ghana, such as Kelvin Taylor, have speculated that the current government is conspiring behind closed doors to prevent the 2024 election from taking place. Today, Kwabena Bobie Ansah, an Accra FM journalist, published a brief extract of a letter from Ghana’s National Security Intelligence Office. The following is an excerpt from the article:
“During and after the 2024 election, we foresee well-organized widespread civil disturbance by the youth, which could finally escalate to the point of regime change and possibly military takeover to calm tempers.”
Kwabena Bobie Ansah’s reaction to the letter was this.
They aim to incite one of their militant organizations to misbehave so that they can use it as a pretext to flee the country with everything they’ve taken. It’s not going to work.
