The project, according to the Mp is the first of its kind in the community and it will serve as a medium to ensure that the residents have easy access to power to enable them discharge their duties.
Besides it will also serve as a focal point for extension into other surrounding communities
In his brief comments after the program Hon Ayew Afriyie told the gathering that the government is sensitive to the development of the country especially at the rural areas, stressing that since Rome was not build in a day Ghanaians need to be patient for the authorities to enable them share the national cake as it is.
He implored the residents to take good care of the facility to ensure its longer life span.
 The District Chief Executive for Sekyere East District, Hon. Osei Adiyiah on his part thanked government for the project.
He said the provision of the power supply clearly shows the commitment of government to transform the economy.
The DCE entreated the community to adopt habits of paying their electricity bills on time to avoid power disconnection.
Present at the occasion is the Deputy Minister of Energy, Mr William Owuraku Aidoo who took the opportunity to educate the gathering about electricity safety and energy efficiency tips.
He called on the good people of Buoya to keep faith in the government and expect more projects in the area in the coming years.
