Ibrahim Mahama should be celebrated and not castigated.

We don’t seem to appreciate the good work people have done in this country because we have clothed ourselves in political colours. We only appreciate what comes from our party even if it’s bad. Anything else from any other party is not good. This is one of the reasons our democracy will grow to that height we are yearning for. A typical example is a castigation Ibrahim Mahama has received from some members of the ruling government seemingly because he is a brother to the former president John Dramani Mahama.

The CEO of Engineers and Planners has done some charitable work for this nation. He single-handedly dredged the Odaw river which has caused heavy floods in Accra at no cost to the government (https://www.graphic.com.gh/news/general-news/i-am-dredging-odaw-drain-for-free-ibrahim-mahama.html). This current government was in opposition then. They were never happy. They made a lot of noise. They accused John Mahama of making his brother rich. But NPP stalwart Dr Nyaho Tamakloe came out to debunk such rumours. He said Ibrahim Mahama made his money under President Kufuor.

Social activist A-Plus has alleged that the current repair works being done in the Tema motorway were done by Ibrahim Mahama for free in the past. He said the roads minister should have at least commended him. Instead, he was complaining about the bad work previously done for free which we have used for the past 8 years. He should tell us the cost of the current repair works.

We should appreciate the good works done by individuals so that others can be encouraged to do more for our mother Ghana.
