FIFA World Rankings: Ghana And Nigeria Drop Down As Morocco and Senegal Enters The Top.

The FIFA World Ranking is an up and down road as countries move to the top and others drop down. Let me show you how the rankings are calculated. Let’s say you play a match against a country that is above you in the rankings and you lose to them, they gain points from you but it is not a very big point. If you play against a nation which is below you on the table and you lose to them, you lose a big number of points to the other team same as drawing with them.

Due to the above methods, there have been ups and downs of African countries on the table. Senegal who used to rank 20th has entered the top with the European squad with 18th position and looks likely to join the first 15 before the World Cup. Morocco which was 24th has also gone up to take the 21st position. Nigeria was at the 30th position but has now moved down to 31st whereas Tunisia who was at the 35th position has moved to the 30th. Algeria from 44th to 39th.

Egypt has moved from 32nd to 41st and Ghana has moved from 60th to 61st.
