ECG to undertake maintenance work in the Volta region. Check date and areas that will be affected.

The Energy sector remains one of the most crucial components in the economic life of our country. As such, both the state and private organizations have continued to play vital roles in power generation and supply to all parts of the country. It is also usual for the power producing and distribution companies such as the Volta River Authority (VRA), GRIDCo and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to undertake routine maintenance work at their various power stations and installation across the country.

When this happens, the general public is affected by some sort scheduled power outages within specific durations. But most importantly, the public needs to be notified ahead of time in order for them to plan and adjust to the situation despite the fact that this will surely create some inconveniences. In the event that this prior notice is not given, the public begins to read various interpretations into it based on their own judgment.

The time once again, the Electricity Company of Ghana, (ECG) has given notice to the people of the Volta region about a scheduled maintenance work to be undertaken at the Asiekpe Bulk Supply Point. This exercise is scheduled to be carried out on Tuesday, 21st June, 2022 between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm.

As a result of this maintenance work, the general public but the people of the Volta region to be specific should take note of the affected areas. They include, Denu, Aflao, Dzodze, Sogakope, Keta, Akatsi, Ho, Kpeve, Kpando, Hohoe, Jasikan, Dambai, Nkwanta, and it’s environs. Check the notice below.
