Regarded as a legend of Accra Hearts Of Oak, Benard Don Bortey has made a pretty shocking revelation years after calling a quit on his career.
Don played for the majority of his career for glorious Hearts Of Oak and helped the club in winning major trophies at the time.
The former Black Stars player was pictured last Sunday in Kumasi waving the huge flag of Hearts’ sworn rivals Asante Kotoko high after they were crowned as champions of the Ghana Premier League.Â
Bortey’s act raised eyebrows with several Hearts Of Oak fans condemning the actions of their former player.
However, Don Bortey seems to have more under his sleeves following a recent radio interview explaining his regret for not playing for the current league champions.Â
Bernard Don Bortey said:
“I regret playing for Hearts Of Oak and not Asante Kotoko but my child will play for them.”
With such comments, Don Bortey has already lost his legendary status in the eyes of some Hearts Of Oak fans. The club is yet to react to this issue.Â
