Tariq is an England player who plays his club football for Southampton. He was born to a Ghanaian father. He has played for the junior side of the England national team. The football association has succeeded in getting Tariq to play for Ghana.

According to Owuraku, a seasoned sports analyst “Tariq Lamptey has completed all necessary paperwork to represent Ghana and is pending clearance from FIFA to play for the Black Stars.
