The World Cup fever is still in the air, and Coach Otto Addo is still preparing his team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which comes off in November this year.
Following the country’s qualification for the Mundial, it emerged that the Inaki Williams has held talks with the president of the Football Association, Kurt Okraku, and is on the verge of accepting to switch nationality to play for the West African country.
However, it seems like this will be just a dream as Inaki Williams, the Spanish-born Ghanaian footballer, may be unable to switch allegiance for Ghana.
According to news on Kessbenonline, there are a few hitches with the process for the nationality switch though the GFA has applied at FIFA for the nationality switch.
Meanwhile, Eddie Nketiah, Callum Hudson Odoi, and Tariq Lamptey are expected to complete their nationality switch to Ghana before the start of the World Cup.
The sources added that English-born Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey who plays for the English side Brighton and Hove Albion went through the process successfully without any complications.
He admitted that the Inaki Williams process had been halted with a few hitches, which they are confident of scaling over with the necessary documentation in the coming days.
