It appears some places in the Greater Accra Region will always experience flooding anytime it rains. Choked gutters, poor drainage systems, and improper disposal of refuse are the major cause of flooding in Ghana. Some Ghanaians after watching this video said that people living in Accra need to start buying speed boats instead of cars.
According to the person who recorded the video, he works around National Theatre and this happened today, 15th June 2022 after the heavy downpour in the Greater Accra Region and its environment. Watching the video carefully, you can see that there is heavy traffic on the road because of the flood.
The drivers are trying to move through the flood but because of the level of the water, they are finding it difficult to move through. Some of the small cars are stuck in the flood. Social media users after watching the video said that the leaders of this country need to be up to their game about this flooding issue.
Others said that what our leaders know is how to mismanage state resources. They argued that it will not cause too much money to solve flooding issues in the capital city of the country but they seem to be unconcern about the problems drivers go through any time it rains.
