A man sentenced to death told court that he killed his pregnant wife after being told by neighbours that she was sleeping with another man. The man, who pleaded guilty to murder, was sentenced to death by hanging.
Nkereuwem, 52, said he used an axe and matchet to kill his wife, Cynthia, 34. “I used a Cutlas to kill her because of what I heard from my neighbours,” he told the court. “She was pregnant at the time.”
“I hit her on the head with an iron rod but it did not kill her so I used the Cutlass to cut her throat,” he said in court. The Nigerian man was found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging.
“I took the big Cutlass and cut her right hand. She moved to run away, I cut her neck again and she fall down. I was informed by people around our house that one Michael always sleep with her anytime I left the house for work.” He claimed.
This man killed his wife because she suspected that his wife was cheating on her with a man. He stormed his house and butchered his wife into pieces. Can you kill your partner because of infidelity.
