Areas Cape Coast, Moree, and some towns in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese district were all affected by the early morning rains.

Further, one individual granted an interview and mentioned that the government must be up and doing in other to bring a lasting solution to the frequent flooding in the country.

The resident of the town continued that the current drainage systems in the Central Region needs a second look and the gutters available to help free these rains are also chocked and therefore cannot help to empty the gutters.

More to this, Hon. Asenso Boakye, minister responsible for works and housing expressed government’s willingness to support city planners to create more drainage systems to help overcome the problem bedeviling us as a country.

He further claimed that climate change has a lot to do with the current happenings about rain and even cited certain European countries to battress his points.
