The finance minister has spoken on fundings and spending of funds that have been granted to the people. The finance minister has stated that there are going to be strict enforcement of finance related disciplines just as it has been over the past few years. Ken Ofori-Attah during a summit earlier today revealed that the finance department in their quest to relive Ghanaians from the financial stress have put measures in place to curb the climaxing expenses and protect the public purse like they promised Ghanaians.
Nana Addo promised to protect the public purse because he alleged that the government who were in power before he came into power were spending and misusing states resources. This is one of the reasons why people pounce on every little financial mismanagement to criticize Nana Addo.
But it seems the two are interested in making sure this works. We have made these decisions because we need to be cautious about our spending and this is the only way we can protect ourselves from any pending danger- he stated whiles giving reasons for certain decisions taken.
