“Qualification For 2023 AFCON is Now Tricky For Black Stars” – Former Ghana Goalkeeper

Former Ghana goalkeeper, Fatawu Dauda has described Black Stars 2023 AFCON qualifiers as tricky.

The Black Stars share four points after two qualifying games following a 3-0 win over Madagascar in the opener and a 1-1 with Central African Republic. With four games to qualify for the tournament in Côte D’Ivoire next year, Fatawu Dauda calls for a step at a time. “A very tricky group, on paper we are ahead. “But I’m not sure they will underrate any country because of what happened at the Africa Cip of Nations [in Cameroon].

“So let’s just wait and see, let’s just take it match after match. “If we qualify then we know we have qualified and then we take it from there.” Fatawu Dauda told Radio Gold Sports.

The Black Stars have played two AFCON qualifiers and have recorded a win and a draw under coach Otto Addo. The Black Stars defeated Madagascar 3-0 in the opener at the Cape Coast Stadium before managing a 1-1 draw against Central African Republic in Angola in the second game.
