“Our Striker Has Become Lazy Because of a Car” – Premier League Coach

Head Coach of Accra Great Olympics, Annor Walker has cited a car bought by player Maxwell Abbey after his invitation into the senior national team as the reason for his recent slow performance.

Maxwell Abbey’s performance in the Ghana Premier League prior to his inclusion in the Black Stars and AFCON appearance, had scored seven goals in the premier league with great tactical display. Coach Walker, believes the car purchased after his AFCON appearance has changed his footballing mentality. “You know players, they get something small then they get swollen-headed.

After coming from the maiden Black Stars team when he was invited. When he came back you know, he has got something small. Bought a car, and now you know how we all know when you get a car, then your everything that you does, goes slow”, he lamented. Walker, stressed on his before aftermath changes after the AFCON experience and it effect on his career.

“Those time that you see him at peak, good work seriously at the beach. See, he doesn’t do again. Home and maybe having some fun with friends so that made him . I believe he’ll change by next season if he’s not traveled, and we’ll see a different Maxwell”, he said.
