5 Keys to God’s System of Wealth and Prosperity

Everything is answered with money. Many Christians’ immediate reaction to that statement would be to declare that it is carnal, selfish, and contrary to biblical values. Nonetheless, it is a verbatim quotation from Ecclesiastes 10:19. Money is a necessity in this life, therefore wanting it is not selfish—it is required. Even if all you want to do is walk the streets evangelizing, which doesn’t cost much money, you still need food, clothing, and housing. You still require money.

If you’re ready for a change in your financial situation, here are five keys to God’s system of wealth you can learn from today:

1. God Is Your Sole Source

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” –Philippians 4:19 (NKJV).

The concept is simple, but getting to the point where you let God be your single source of provision requires a lot of spiritual labor. “If someone will not work, he should not eat,” the Bible says (2 Thessalonians 3:10, CJB), because God is the Creator of work. He never intended for us to place all of our faith and hope in our work. He also didn’t want you to use anything else as a source, your family, personal loans, or the government. He is your supply source. Ask God direct and it shall be giving.

2. Business Is the Only System That Creates Wealth

Engage in business until I come.” –Luke 19:13 (ESV)

Christians often want the wealth transfer described in Proverbs 13:22 to take place in a specific way. God’s system, on the other hand, is a never-ending flow of wealth into the hands of the righteous. That system is business. That isn’t to say that everyone is called to start a business; rather, we will all be involved in business in some way, whether it’s at work, in our purchases, or in our investments.

Get up, do something creative, and everything will work out fine.

3. All Business Requires Work

“All hard work brings a profit.” –Proverbs 14:23 (NIV)

Work is neither a curse nor a toil. Despite this, we frequently hear people complain about their work or how much they despise Mondays. That’s because they haven’t realized that their employment is more than just a source of income. Work was created by God, so it’s a fantastic concept!

God promises that the work of your hands will be blessed. That means you might anticipate a lot more from your labor than just a natural return. “There is benefit in all labor,” says Proverbs 14:23. (NKJV)

4. Business Is Our Promised Land and Proving Ground

“God tested Abraham….” –Genesis 22:1 (NKJV)

Abraham was a wealthy man, but it was only after a period of testing and the Lord’s BLESSING that he was able to enter the Promised Land of prosperity.

Be faithful in how you handle your money, how you treat other businesses, how you live.

Determine to have faithful stewardship on the job, even when you work for someone who isn’t so nice, like Laban. Ten times he changed Jacob’s wages. Expect abundance from your faithful God as well.

5. Wealth Transfers Are Always Work-Related

“A sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.” –Proverbs 13:22 (NIV)

Some Christians are hoping for a miracle—for money to appear out of nowhere and fall into their laps. However, God-ordained wealth transfers are always linked to labour. 2 Kings 4:1-7 tells the story of a widow.

When you have a financial need in your life, don’t expect money to appear on your doorstep. The ability for God to bless you is linked to what you do—your work, whether it is employment or any other work. Expect to work on something. “Thank You, God, for providing me with opportunities to put my hands to work so that You may prosper me,” say aloud.
