We lost Hohoe seat partly through gerrymandering—Asiedu Nketia.

 Mr Nketia

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Asiedu Nketia, has stated that the Hohoe Constituency seat in the Volta Region was lost partly through gerrymandering.

He made sense of that the cutting out of the Guan area from the Hohoe Constituency albeit unlawful, couldn’t be turned around despite the fact that they battled it.

“There is the requirement for the individuals, allies, supporters, well-wishers and dedicated of the party to take a gander at the new Hohoe Constituency without Guan and start to strategise to win the seat back so the supposition by individuals and allies of the party that the NDC will constantly win political votes in the Volta Region is a test,” Mr Nketia forewarned.

Addressing Branch Executives of NDC in Hohoe as part of activities to mark the party’s 30th Anniversary, he decried that the biggest enemy of the party was complacency, where members and supporters tend to think whatever happened is to win Volta Region because it is the party’s stronghold and must win at all cost which made everyone disappointed but not surprised the party lost the parliamentary seat in the Hohoe constituency.
