A Three Times Different Estimate Requires Questioning- Okudzeto Ablakwa Goes Political

Okudzeto Ablakwa going political should not be a rare situation because of the position he finds himself in. But his statement which he submitted with a massive comparison is the reason for these attributes for the submissions he made today. Okudzeto Ablakwa is a long serving member of parliament and his time in the chamber has earned him a place among the few members of parliament who know their left and right in Ghana’s political issues. Okudzeto Ablakwa made some revelations today and made comparisons between the two most talked about government.

We have witnessed the skyrocketing demand for food and supplies in this country. Not to say food alone, there have been demands for medications, agricultural needs and many of such related needs which Ghanaians are in dye need of. But it seems the focus is somewhere else. People in power are prioritizing matters which should be at the very last list of the things we need as Ghanaians.

Talking about priorities, Okudzeto Ablakwa says our priority is directed at something which is not worth prioritizing at the moment. He claims he is not against the national cathedral because at least it will generate something for this country but this is not the time for these expenses. Whiles making this submission, he revealed that there was an initial estimate of 100 million dollars for the completion of the cathedral.

This however changed to 200 million, and then moved to 300 million dollars at the moment. Okudzeto revealed that these changes is viable for questioning. According to him, this is one of the most inconsistent governments who have failed at a common estimate for a project they claim are well prepared for. And this means there could be a change in the next few months and those that follows, paving way for money-hungry and corrupt minded officials to incur more debt for the country and enrich their pockets.
