Two armed robbers who were busted by the Ghana Police Service in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana have both been sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. According to the judgment each of the robbers will be serving 20 years in prison.

The two robbers whose names are given as Emeka Opara and Samuel Kalo, were busted by the police on May 30, 2022, following their criminal attack on a victim at ECOBANK, Abrepo Junction. The Police through their hard work were able to retrieve the GH₵ 30,000.00 and successfully prosecute them.

According to the police on their official Facebook page, the robbers are duly convicted for that matter they are no more suspect.

“Because the two have been duly convicted and are no longer suspects, we have displayed their images in line with our new standard operating procedure”, the police stated.

Furthermore, the police encourage the general public that they will fight crime and make sure criminals are brought to book. They also urge the public to report cases that the above-convicted criminals have been in connection with.

“Any member of the public who can recognise any of them in connection with other crimes, should kindly contact the nearest police station for further action”.

“We would like to assure the public that the Police will continue to fight crime and bring criminals justice”, the police wrote.

We thank the Ghanaian Police Service for trying their best possible to eradicate crime in our communities.
