Rest Well Legend: Sad Reactions As TV3 Announces The Departure Of Dancehall Artist Sonni Balli

Sad news has reached us that Ghanaian dancehall superstar Sonny Kwabena Akoanor, also known as Sonni Balli, has died, leaving Ghanaians in pain and wonder. 

As reported by known news platform TV3 news on their official Facebook page revealed that Sonni Balli died on Thursday, 9 June 2022, in the afternoon, and has been mourned by industry players, some of whom broke the tragic news.

Although the specific cause of his death has yet to be determined, it is believed that he died as a result of cardiac arrest.

He was the youngest of three siblings. While still alive, the Dancehall artist revealed that his parents had hoped he would grow up to be a doctor. Sonni, on the other hand, began singing in his church choir at the age of nine, where he thrilled the congregation with sumptuous classical godly gospel songs. 

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and deep condolences to his entire family.
