NPP grassroot lacks basic needs – Asabee.

Stephen Asamoah Boateng aka Asabee, a former member of parliament for the Mfantsiman West constituency and an aspirant for the NPP National Chairmanship in an interview with Nhyira1045Fm today June 9th 2022 stated the NPP grassroot is lacking in terms of basic needs. Asabee is apparently among the few NPP high ranks who has admitted indirectly a neglect of the party’s grassroots.

With many at the grassroot level of the NPP complaining over the neglection and abandonment by the party’s hierarchy which has angered and led to the recent losing of seats by some former regional executives in the just ended NPP Regional elections, it is without doubt the fortunes of the NPP may be left to the sun come 2024 if such issues are not addressed.

Without doubt the neglect will again reflect in the approaching National Executive Elections and especially since the partly is said to be divided internally over several issues who leds the party come 2024 ( the Bawumia Alan division)

Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng’s statement which can be seen as just a campaign tool and may just be a strategy towards winning, it is important the NPP addresses and reshapes the party to actively involve its grassroots if breaking the 8 is indeed their target.

A quick survey across the country and it is clear the grassroot after election 2020 have been ignored and the fairy tale involvement they thought of, has been limited to a few.

Asabee indeed has a good track record of changing structures and hopefully if he does win, his followers will hope he doesn’t ignore just like those before him.
