If The Iragi League Is Rated Ahead Of The Ghana Premier League Then GFA Has Failed Ghanaians

Ghana is a household name in Africa when football is discussed and the level of football in the country should have been ranked ahead of even several countries in the world but currently where can we place the Ghanaian league when leagues are ranked?

Indeed Ghana is a country in Africa that is known very well because of their exploits in world football. Ghana used to be feared by other countries when they come against each other in matches but currently this legacy is gradually fading away.

As a matter fact, several players playing in the Ghana league do not get up to ¢5000 a month but even in other African countries players are paid over $30,000. Now lets discuss about this, how many players will stay in the league if better offers are presented to them by foreign clubs?

A former Al-Minaa SC player who played in the Iragi Premier league has boldly stated that, the Iragi league is highly rated ahead of the Ghana Premier league. Stephen Sarfo currently plays for Berekum Chelsea, so he knows what happened in Irag and what is currently happening in Ghana at the moment.

Stephen Sarfo

On Kessben FM, he said, ” The Iragi League is ahead of the domestic top flight in terms of facilities and salary. They have fine pitches with excellent facilities and as a player, you will have to think fast on the ball. I will rate the Iragi League ahead of the Ghana Premier league.”

After talking about how better the Iragi league is, he also pleaded that, the government should try and help so that at least every player in the league will be paid around ¢5000.

Stephen Sarfo is indeed an honest footballer. Not many footballers will reveal such things to the public but he did it. This revelation clearly shows that several players in Ghana do not get a about ¢5000 a month and this for a fact is the reason why they always leave when there is an offer from clubs abroad.

GFA President Kurt okraku

Ghana Football Association and the government have failed Ghana football. They can do better than what is happening in Ghana football.
