A young lady by the name of Patience was staying with her boyfriend called Kwaku for some years before they gave birth to one child. The lady said although her boyfriend doesn’t get enough money from his work, but they have been managing with the little money they get. She continues that, in last year December, her boyfriend gave her money to prepare food for him.
After cooking, she left the food in the house and went to visit her brother. But when she came back, Kwaku has chew almost all the meat she used in preparing the food. She asked him why he did that but the guy got furious and used a wire to beat her, after that he chased her with a shovel and threatened to kill her if she continued to stay with him.
Patience said she too invoke a curse on him for beating her. After this incident, Kwaku told her to pack out her belongings and leave his house which she did because she was afraid that Kwaku will kill her. After she left, the boyfriend sent only GHC20 for the child to spend throughout the week, it got to a time that he stopped sending the money. The lady said she confronted him about why he has not been sending her money for their child again.
Kwaku told her to bring the child back to him before he will send her money, the lady reveals that she is afraid to go back to his house. Kwaku too said he doesn’t earn much money from his work, it got to a point that he lost his job but he make sure to cater for Patience and their child. After he lost his job, the lady stopped preparing food for him if he doesn’t give her money, she used to buy food and eat whilst he will starve in the house.
He explained that last year December, he gave her GHC30 to prepare food for him but when he took some of the meat from the food when she was not around, Patience insulted him for taking the meat without telling her. He took got angry and beat her with the wire and asked her to leave his house but he regretted doing that to her. He went to apologise to her mother-in-law to plead with Patience to come back home but still, she didn’t come.
