Tamale City club writes a letter to Baffour Soccer Academy assuring them of their safety.

Tensions are high as the division one league of Zone 1 reaches a crescendo. Two teams go head-to-head in a bid to gain promotion into the Ghana Premier League(GPL).

The last round of games will see Dreams Tamale host Baffour Soccer Academy from Nsoatre.

The first leg of the game between Tamale FC and Baffour SA didn’t end on a good note. Fans of Baffour Soccer Academy descended on the traveling team’s players and pelted them with stones. Several players were injured in the process.

This incident left many the team of Baffour Soccer Academy have the feeling that a retaliation could be possible.

The C.E.O of Tamale city Mr. Mohammed Iddi therefore wrote a letter in which he gave assurances to Dream Tamale opponents on their safety.

He is quoted in the letter below;

The leadership of the supporter groups of this club have already met with the football fans in Tamale to discuss about the safety of your team, and they have all agreed to work together to ensure your safety when you arrive in Tamale to honor your match against Dreams Tamale on Thursday 8th June, 2022″.
